How long with an iPod nano run if it is charged all the way?

I'm going on a trip and i need to know how long my iPod will last if i charge it for its full amount.

I have an iPod Nano if that is important.

my son has taken his ipod on several flights it has made it from detroit to seattle with lay overs and its about 8 to 9 hours total trip. the longest we have used ours and not that it died we just charge so it wont die has been about 12 hours of use.
