Whether it is internet scams or sub-prime mortgages, people still continue to screw up their lives then demand that the government investigate things. If you want a house, READ THE DAMN PAPERS YOU ARE SIGNING AND pay the mortgage rate. If you want to "get rich quick" and it blows up in your fae - suck it up and learn.
Bottom line, stop spending more than you earn IT'S THAT SIMPLE!!

This is because so many people in America have a victim mentallity. They feel that it is the government's job to protect them from every imaginable risk... when of course this is NOT the government's job. Take Katrina for example. These victims (and I DO feel sorry for them) blamed the government for a hurricane pretty much, and were given millions in compensation. After 9/11, they blamed the government for not stopping it, and the families of the 9/11 victims were paid millions in compensation! The government has become one big scapegoat for all the world's problems. It's the government's fault there are poor people, it's the government's fault that not everyone can get medical attention, homelessness is the government's fault, poor education, etc etc. People no longer take responsibility for their own actions, they depend on the government to bail them out. It's really pretty pathetic.

Yep you and I agree. You can not get rich quick it just does not happen. There is nothing "They" don't want you to know ! If someone is making "millions" why would he dilute the market and share his "secret" with a bunch of strangers ! DUH ! I got told I got "Taken " [ using the nice word] because I took a 25 year FIXED rate mortgage. I paid a little more interest and a bigger down payment. The person who laughed at me is in foreclosure and I am fine. Credit cards are a high interest LOAN ! They are for EMERGENCY'S ! A BBQ is not an emergency ! Neither are clothes.
