good for you. I always thought this would take off. Just ask a neighborhood mom if you can help her out for a couple of hours for a couple of bucks. The idea is that while you are there mom can do stuff by herself without kids at her ankles, and you get experience in babysitting. but the mom is there, or next door or running to the store for more milk or diapers, or whatever.but she has to be close by and within minutes of home just in case something were to happen. Just don't ask for more than like a dollar an hour if she's there. Charge more if she leaves. Moms always need help, and if you do more than what is expected she'd probably give you extra. and when you get older you will have a babysitting job and a good reference. I like to think that I can help so e-mail me through YA! and I'll help you any way I can.

You should find out how to take a CPR class then put an ad in the paper that says exactly what you just said "mothers helper" or ask your friends and parents if they know of anyone who would want a mother's helper.

I think 13 year olds are ready to baby sit. It's a lot easier to get gigs as a babysitter. Not a lot of people want to pay a kid to look after their kids while they are still home.

Try the hospitals and ask them, maybe try your local moms club or leleche league. Its a start and I think you would be a great help for all those mothers. Also put flyers around town about your services. Good luck.
