SEROQUEL is a psychotropic medication shown to be effective in the treatment of many symptoms of schizophrenia, as well as in the treatment of acute mania associated with bipolar I disorder.

Well it depends what you were prescribed seroquel for. When I was taking seroquel, I took it to help me sleep. I took it for about 3 years, until one day I woke up and decided it was too large for me to swallow. So, I was taken off of it and since then I haven't had a decent nights sleep.

Others though, say they take it for "voices". It's listed as an anti-psychotic. don't ask me what that means cuz I havent' the foggiest. I took it for sleep and it helped me alot. So if you got it for sleep start out in small doses first and build up slowly.

Look up seroquel (quietipine fumarate) on your computer and it will tell you all about it.
Some people get along fine with it and I didn't as it caused severe stomach upset, low blood pressure (feet felt cold all the time) and it wouldn't let me sleep for 5 days and nights. It also can cause diabetes and pancreatitis. And I'm a diabetic. I got off it and got back on Navane.
