LMP 1/20/07, HCG were 21, then 31 5 days later & a week later 79 then fell to 74 2 days later but now is 75. I go back tom. for more blood and then i meet with my doctor on tuesday. When will this be over its almost april and i found out i was pregnant middle of Feb. My doctor keeps testing my blood and thats it...I know this isnt viable but when will it be over I am not even spotting anymore, I was for 3 weeks but not anymore. I dont want something to happen where I cant try again because this time messed something up or makes me unfertile. I have ha an early miscarriage before and it just happened i took a preg. test before my period, i would have never known if i didint take the test but i got my period and thats was it, the next time i saw my docotr was when my HCG levels came back at 21 and he said my cervix was closed while i was spotting. any help i just want to try again

Your body is probably still releasing hormones from the placenta. You might want to go for a D&C. I did and I am glad I did. I was able to have some closure and start trying when the time was right and my body had healed. We are now 11 weeks pregnant and the baby is growing and going good with a strong heartbeat. In general, hCG levels will double every 72 hours. Your numbers are far, far too low for viability based on your LMP and they are not increasing. I am unsure what route you are taking. It sounds like you are allowing the m/c to happen naturally and your dr is tracking your levels.

A natural miscarriage can take several weeks and your dr may continue to moitor you until your level is a at <5. If you don't want to wait things out you can request a d&c.
