I havn't read anything in the paper, or heard anything on the news, but there seems to be speculations from various Angels Fans that there is still bad bllod between The Angels LP and The Anaheim City Council.

The simple answer is, the City lost in court. The OC Register was reporitng that the City Council does not want to commit extensive resources, i.e. money to fight Moreno and the name change.

Now, make no mistake that Anaheim is not happy with any of this. They assert that it costs them millions in media exposure, and potential tourist revenue.

The issue is dead, but you can bet that the City will be in no hurry to make Arte's life any easier. In time the Council will turnover, and reluctant acceptance will prevail.

I don't blame the Anaheim City Council. They should boot the Stupid Angels for disrespecting them by changing their name to the Los Angleles Angels of Anaheim. What a stupid name. Should the Reds call themselves the Los Angeles Reds of Cincinnati for example? Should we have the Los Angeles Yankees of New York?

Absolutely not, Arte Moreno totally disrespected Anaheim, Orange County and all the loyal fans. The Angels have as much to do with L.A. as Liberals do with fiscal responsibility.
