guys, is HI a polar molecule or non polar? why?
and the bond between H and I is it polar? Why?

HI is polar covalent, because the atoms have different electronegativities.
The H is slighly positively charged, and the I is slightly negatively charged. Because the molecule has no symmetry, the two electrons in the bond spend more time at the I end than the H end, and so the bond is polar and the molecule is polar.
