1.Michael Jordan, probably the greatest athlete of all time. Also, he was probably the greatest competitor.
2. Bill Russell, 11 out of 13 championships, NBA, 2 out of 3 in NCAA.
3. Kareem Jabbar . if I am starting an all-time team, Jabbar is my center.
4. Larry Bird
5. Oscar Robertson.
Those five would make an awesome starting five. Robertson and Jordan in the backcourt, Bird and Russell at forward and Jabbar at center.
honorable mention,
Magic Johnson
Jerry West
Karl Malone
A Olajuwon
Tim Duncan
Elgin Baylor
John Stockton.
Nice 12 man roster!!!!!!!!

1.) Michael Jordan-Needs no explanation
2.) Kobe Bryant-I don't believe his position would be so disputed without the rape charges.
3.) Magic Johson-Did a lot for Basketball without scoring much.
4.)Hakeem The Dream-Come on this guy won 2 rings with garbadge teams.
5.)Wilt Chambelin-All Time Great Scorer but no one in the NBA at the time could guard him so I put him at 5. Shaq is also tied for 5.

Russell was the consumate defender and team player, as was Magic, Larry, and Elgin. Kareem for his scoring record and unstoppable skyhook. Wilt for his consistant scoring threat and highest scoring average, and Michael simply because he was amazing.
