How does one resolve the dilemma of esoteric knowledge and energy separating oneself from the mainstream?

I have a similar problem. I make a conscious effort to qualify esoteric terms when I use them. It is a skill, and you get better at it so other people will understand. I remember watching a show on the History Channel and they were talking about in the Gettysburg address Lincoln only used three words that were four syllables. But, he was able to communicate some very deep philosophical concepts to the people of the say, and obviously very successfully. Just work on your public speaking, judging your audience, and think about how to explain things.
