The platipus has a bill and lays eggs, but it's not a bird. It's a mammal. It has fur and it feeds it's young milk. So it's a mammal.

I do not think a platypus is a bird. It's an egg-laying mammal (a monotreme) ... has fur and makes milk to feed its young. However, the duck-like bill, egg-laying, and webbed feet are bird-like features.

Yeah, God made platypus's (Platypie?) right after he made cannabis. Birds have wings, the platypus is a strange one but it sure isn't a bird. No feathers, milk glands?, fur. Nope, nothing bird like there.
