Jet Li will be the next coach of India, he will teach our players how to use kung-fu to bat/bowl & field. he will also show our players how to fly from stump to stump, useful for running between the wickets. If everything else fails, and we still lose in cricket, we have a team thats ready for the international kung fu championships!
Hmmm New Captain??? Well lets see.... the only captain I see fit is the south indian Mega Star, Political Storm "Captain" Vijayakanth... An example of his histrionics on the field...
He will jump from the pavillion onto the ground and will land at the stumps, he will carry a Mag.0.47 caliber look a like toy gun in his hip, If the bowler bowls a very tuff line and length he will Score 12 runs in one ball!!! wanna know how? he'll draw his gun out and shoot the ball (in matrix style), the ball will split into two and run to square & Leg boundaries to produce the first ever dual "6" in a single ball!!! and what more he will repeat this feat every ball of the over... Only one problem here we'll need to call the drinks every over.... Why? (well although he carries a .047calib, it will have only six bullets just like a revolver, so he will have to re-load after every over)
This problem can be sorted out by the BCCI, its very minor compared to other crisis's they're undergoing...

Dravid was only assigned as the captain of the Indian Cricket Team for world cup 2007, I read it somewhere on Cricinfo. Since India is kicked out of the world cup, he is no longer the captain. So, I don't thinkt he selectors would choose him as the captain for upcoming matches.
Who would be the coach and captain? Well, I am going to say Kapil Dev for the coach. And whoever was the captain during the last world cup should be the captain. I believe it was Ganguly (?)

I think Kapil Dev would be an excellent coach and be successful in bringing India back up, so my vote goes out to him!! As for the captain I really like Dravid but also think he is too mild and according to me there is nobody who is fit and mature enough to be the captain of the team. We really need new players!

The next coach should be Sharad Powar- what the hell does he know about cricket to be heading the BCCI anyways. There should be no politicians involved with sport in any way whatsoever.
Kapil Dev ? Maybe, but he hasn't coached any side(even in Ranji) in the last 10 years as far as I know. Maybe Dave Whatmore should be appointed. He gave India the killer blow as a coach of SriLanka in 1996, now in 2007 as coach of Bangladesh.
Ganguly, Sachin,Kumble should be removed immediately. They are too old & will definitely not last till the next WC anyways. Maybe Sehwag & Zaheer too.
Besides it was obvious that ganguly was playing for his position in the team & not for India.Sachin is not half the batsman he was about 10 years ago. Kumble seems 2 b effective only in test matches.
Dravid's performance was not exemplary, but he has been consistent with his performance. Give him captaincy for another year.

Saurabh ganguly should be remade captain, he is a good captain and luck favours the team with him. He knows how to motivate the team and keeps the cohesiveness in the team. There is more team spirit, all these are lacking in the present team under rahul dravid. Greg chappel the coach is definitely out, they should explore the possibility of getting a new indian coach, who understand our condition and out players, and who is fully accountable and responsible for the teams performance.

While Rahul Dravid will continue as Captain, since the term of Greg Chappel is only upto World Cup, it iw up to BCCI to decide about the future coach of Indian team.

Get an Australian ex test player for the coach. Captain? Why not give it to a young man with talent, put the responsibility on his shoulders and stand back and watch.

I think it's to early to decide the new captain or coach. But Saurav Ganguly can be choosen as a new captain and any ex-player can be the coach.

Laloo would be the best choice as coach. He worked wonders with the railway dibbas he might wave his wand on the recent cricketing Dibbas(Sachin, Dravid, Gangu & Bhjju)
Release Siddhu from jail & BJP he could be a good captain. He might talk wonders among his team mates like he did with the people of Patiala to get himself elected.
