We have a sump pump pipe that leads out to the backyard. Needless to say, it creates a little pond at times. What's the best way to handle this situation?

well redirect the way the pipe goes there might be a leak needing to be fixed and i would if no leak create a drainage area and focus it that way you are going to need a cat.

Bury a length of 4" drainage pipe from the discharge of the pump to the point that you want it to come out. I just bought a 50' roll at lowe's for 32.00.
