I live about 200 miles away, so I can't stay with her unless (hopefully not) she starts having a lot of problems. I did drive in so I could drive her to the doctor's, but I was wondering if there is anything I could buy before I left to make her time easier.
She's got enough food until I come back for the next treatment, enough dog and cat food and a friend is coming over to deal with the cat litter inbetween the times that I'm coming back home. So she isn't going to be touching the cat litter. (She likes this idea a little bit too much)
She's got cleaning materials, tp, papertowels, antibacterial hand gel, sensitive teeth tooth paste, hydrogen peroxide based mouthwash.
Anything else I should get for her?
Thanks!

Everyone left such great advice that I can't decide which is the best answer - so I'm going to let it go to the vote. I usually don't, but this time I just can't decide. Big thank you for all the ideas - I made sure she had some flowers before I left yesturday and I'm definately going to get a bandana/hat thingie later. The food cups I hadn't thought of, and made sure she had some. And easy to cook meals are next on the list to do! Thanks very much again to everyone!!

OK you said she has food ,but how easy is it to make??microwavable is a good idea for the times when she doesn't feel up to cooking.skin lotions that are very good like curel or something with not much smell. does she have a shower head and bath chair so she doesn't fall in the shower.comode for the bed side if needed.a closed top drinking thermal mug for bed side .does she have a life line button to hit if she falls ,does she have a walker ??if not she might need one and it needs a carrier on it ...a portable phone ,,things to do that she likes ,crocheting, books, crosswords etc..a few people to call if she needs them on there cell phones ..a cell phone!! the pre paid are nice and not that expensive ,walmart had one for 20 and you buy minutes for 20 so its not bad. oh back to foods ,small containers of things like jello ,pudding, and fruits ,applesauce are better, nutritional drinks like boost and ensure for when she cant eat.bandannas for her head if she looses her hair.nice comfortable cloths that can be worn to bed or up and about...nice comfy things to lay on the sofa with or TV in bed room,OK that's all i can thing of tell her my prayers are with her and good luck to you both hugs ohh and see about support group people that can come visit, and hook her up to Internet ...OK I'm done lol take care

Get her a card and some flowers, she won't feel well so no chocolates, or anything to at. Perhaps some ginger tea to help with the neausea. Some books to keep her distracted. Chat top her a loot, let her know you're right there in full support, when she loses her hair, buy two bandanas and wear it with her wearing the other one, kinda solidarity style

hi, 1st my i wish you guys the very best,i lost my mom to ovarian cancer but during her battle i was there for it all and have thought of a thing or 2 that i did that helped and may help you 2 as well-i put together a giant photo book for her happy things, cause chemo is hard been there myself to. she will feel like she has the flu all the time, so ginger ale is good idea-or 7-up. small fast snacks are great, she will need to eat but may not feel up to it-so these are good idea grab and go foods.and lastly your concern but not pity-thats a very fine line kiddo to walk, but you sound like your doing all the best things for her and will be by her side that is very important-i was there until mom passed-i kissed her forehead telling her i loved her over and over until she was gone. best wishes for a fast recovery and my prayers for you both.oh also-snacks that have lotta flavor but not too spicy chemo leaves a metal type taste in mouth i do remember when i had it-like orange sherbert cups, fast single serving and flavored but not spicy.

how about making a few meals to freeze. that way if she isn't up to it she won't have to prepare anything, she only has to m.w. it. set it up so if she's having a bad day, someone can drive her to treatment or come and help her. what about the dog? does she have a fenced yard so she doesn't have to walk him? if not, maybe you could arrange for a neighbor kid to help take care of him when she needs it. other than that, sounds like you're covered. i hope your mom does well.

well it sounds like you really have everything in order and thats great! she's going to feel like she got hit by a truck and she's going to probably feel very sick to her stomach. you might want to have her bed all set up w/lots of pillows and comfy-ness. does she have a tv in her room? she might like to watch tv in bed and id also have some sort of bucket near the bed so she doesnt have to run to the bathroom too much to get sick. im not saying she's going to be like this the whole time, but chances are she will be for a little while. her friend needs to make sure she eats. a lot of times chemo patients lose their appetite and between not eating and drinking and throwing up they get dehydrated easily. best wishes to you and your mom and god bless!

Maybe a few good books to read or a few favorite
movies. Something to keep her mind off of the
chemo treatment and what she is going through.
And I hope it works for her. Best wishes in a
speedy recovery.
