I have an eMachines PC with Windows XP Media Center 2005. For a couple of weeks, the computer randomly restarted . Now, it will not turn on at all. I turn the computer on, and the fan turns on. Nothing comes on the display. Is there something I need to do to fix it? There is plenty of ventilation. Is it a motherboard issue or a power issue? I have scanned my computer for viruses, and there are no viruses in it. I also scanned for spyware. I have removed all spyware from the PC.

9 times out of 10, you are experiencing a motherboard issue. I would recommend backing up your files in the event that the hard drive is going bad. (Updating files is a good idea anyway!)
Anther possibility is that your processor is overheating. This occurs due to bad ventilation and will cause your comp to shut down.
In my experience fixing computers, power supplies either work or don't. When a comp's power supply fails, it will likely never work again.

restarting is usually because of CPU or Graphic card Problem... usually when a cpu is about to mulfunction it start restarting the pc...
but that is not for sure it can be many thing the best way is to test the pc with diffirent parts . for example first change the power .. then change the cpu .. then change the Graphic card.. so you find out which device is not working .. then you can buy the device....
if you are not advance user i suggest that to take your pc to a reparing store...

Most likely your power supply went. It was overheating and restarting your PC before it packed it in.

Could either be a bad power suppy or bad mobo or CPU. I would first try a new Power Supply. E-machines are know for blowing power supplies and mobo's. Good Luck

which potential, you do not have earthing on your pc AC wall socket!! Ask an electric powered guy to do an earthing device on your pc AC wall socket and ask him to study your pc AC plug splitter/AC skill Bar Strip Splitter if it rather is good! which potential: in some AC skill Bar Strip Splitters, the AC plug has 3-pin yet in basic terms 2 wires are related interior, so it rather is not good. you need to use an AC skill Bar Strip Splitter the place 3 wires are related to the three-pin AC plug!

Either the power supply inside the computer is dead of the hard drive has died. Your going to have to take it in to see if it can be repaired.
