Well, in most households, minor cuts and spills do occur. . .without leading directly to homicide. Sometimes a bandaid and some stain remover are perfectly in order.

Are you trying to say that blood doesn't happen in your household? What happens if you cut yourself while cooking? Does ginger ale come out? Lucky you.
