Several fish-eating species do not hunt for a meal. Instead, these fish, known as ambush-predators, lie on the bottom, without moving, and change colors so they are hard to see. When a fish swims too close to this scorpionfish, it will open its great mouth, and instantly swallows the fish whole.
Many other fish also feed in the sand. This boxfish has learned to blow jets of water into the bottom to uncover food.

Depends on the fish, some are herbivores and will eat sea vegetation or a type of microscopic sea plant. Some are carnivores and eat other fish. Much like on land.

they eat fish food.but if u dont have fish food make ur own(for example:fish will eat peas,lettuce, cucumber,zuccini,and even worms)but those food are only in a emergency or when you want to give them a treat cuz if u feed it all the time they will stop eating it soon, unlike the fish food which they will never get tired of eating.

if their a certain kind of fish then they eat smaller fish but most of the time they'll just eat fish flakes from the pet store. if you're not sure, go to your local pet store and ask them. i'm sure they'll be able to help you!
