I just discovered a colony of lady bug larvae inside one of my tulip blooms... I'm thrilled... but heavy thunderstorms are on the way. Will the rain wash them away or drown them? Is there something I can do? will the sprinkler drown them?

bugs can just about live through nature, let them be, i think theyd still be there after the rain, nature is nature, like cycle of life

i'm no expert, but i believe that a heavy rain would hurt fully grown ladybugs more than it would hurt larvae.

Most fully grown insects cannot breathe when wet. I assume it is diff for larvae...maybe even the opposite. I know that worms can't breathe if their skin is dry.

I douibt the rain will hurt them. They will probably just wait it out.
