the best movie of 2006, and a foreign one at that, if Hollywood started making movies like that again, id go to the movies more often.
the entire movie was well directed, well acted, well written well... everything.
and if you liked that movie try watching Amores Perros or a really touching movie called Voces Inocentes.
they're both in spanish but worth a watch

Pan's Labyrinth is historical fantasy at its best and a masterpiece that one can gladly prefer to watch thrice instead of watching The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, a Harry Potter, and Eragon.

i had been waiting forever to see pans labyrinth and i was alittle disappointed with this film, i did love the graphics and the acting was good , but that was about it, the story really didn't have a point to it, and that's the main point of a movie in my eyes, i guess for a 15 rated movie i was expecting more.

Yes I agree, the Spanish Civil War was a terrible crime against the ordinary person, this was a sort of fantasy reminder

Clearly the most amazing of 2006. Magical, exciting, intense, powerful and ultimately heartbreaking. I love every second of it.
Why it didn't get Best Foreign Language film at this year's Oscars is beyond me.

One of the best I have seen for a long time.
Hollywood should pull their socks up and stop copying and rehashing sh*te, this film shows the way they should go.
Very good.

Just watched it last night and was blown away.
I'd been trying to see it for ages but it wasn't on long at the cinema in newcastle but got it from lovefilm last week and it was worth the wait.
I'd love to see it on the big screen though so i'll be keeping my eyes open.

I watched it a couple of weeks ago, normally I don't like subtitled films, but, goodness what an amazing film, well written, well directed and visually stunning.
