Ill tell you exactly why and everyone else will agree.....
The reason is 90% of the team walk into it with no pressure for the spot.
Rio is the main culPRAT
Terry now he's captain
Stevie and Lamps no they'll play
And Gary Neville and Ashley Cole are the same
Rooney also has this fault
Hargreaves why the hell do you think he was so good in the world cup cuz before then he wasnt garentied a spot was her suddenly hes made the position is and cant be bothered as much
Lets look at our U21's
They fight so hard to do well because they all no if they play well then they move up into the first team so all try hard and come away witha 3-3 draw cuz of fight and determination.
Plus we dont Gel cause we ask players to jobs there not capable ov Like gerrard and rooney
we need Joe Cole back aswell meant we go down the left with confidence.
Sven has his critics but look at his record compared to MClarens.
Thas what ive thought for a while and yesterday summed it up!

A big problem with out national team is that the media & fans see us as a country that is capable of winning the world cup or the Euros. Let's get one straight - we are nowhere near good enough to win either tournament. Apart from Denmark, I completely agree with ya list of teams better than us.
I feel sorry for the manager because it is not all his fault. 1998 was the last tournament I felt we could go a long way.
Drop Ferdinand for Carragher. Drop Lampard and have the midfield or Downing Gerrard Hargreaves & Lennon. That way we have the best two wide men for running at defenders & putting crosses in.
How bad are England though, I mean on Saturday we had a striker that was playing in the championship last season as well as a current championship striker on the bench. Foreign countries must laugh at us!
Yes we do have world class players, but what you've got to realise is that the majority of the countries you mentioned above have world class players as well.
I have not rated England for 9 years. They are a quite good side, but certainly not a side that will win a major tournament.

The team just doesn't have it's own characteristic personality. Brazilians are good in large part because they all have top-drawer footwork. The Italians are fast. The French are refined, and don't exert unnecessary energy. The Germans play brutally, and hit hard. The Czechs are known as offensive masterminds.
The English team is probably the most well-rounded team in the world, at least in my opinion. But they play boring soccer, and don't take enough risks. Without a defining aspect to their soccer "personality," they will always run into teams that can do something better.

I think McLaren is too negative in his tactics and is frightened of conceding goals, England have the players to beat anyone on their day, but just can't seem to get it together as not scoring in 5 games running is terrible!!!!
I think there should be a big shake up and some other players should get a chance to play as they would be more hungry for success and would have more fight.
Players like Scott Parker and Gareth Barry have been knocking the door for some time and I think the real reason England have been so bad is the current squad take getting capped for granted.

reason where not playing good togethor is becuase mclaren has put people like gerrard downing, hargreaves, ferdinand, terry int he worng positions, either that or hes put the worng people on the field such as johnsen,if we had someone better like owen croush, maybe even ashton,we could of beaten the isrealis,by the time we start playing at wembley and beating teams again then we will be back on role, but if we lose to Andorra then i will agree with you and therefore we would become the shittest football team on the earth.

In my opinion in England there are too many strangers in the football teams.
All the most important roles (midfielders and forwards) are plenty of strangers in the Premier Teams.
I saw your U21 national team and there are some very good players but, are they playing in their teams?
That's the problem.
Greatings from Italy.

its because we have so many players who just dont care enough..the 15 or so players that are picked are prob our most talented, but they dont care..some say defoe is the best goal scorer, some say its aj.i say if they aint good enough dont play them..this would be squad when fit...
carson
richards
king
terry
bridge
lennon
hargreaves
gerrard
joey cole
smith
ashton
subs, rooney, nolan, carragher, upson, owen, lampard, foster
this team would put 100% in always and kepping roney and lampard on the bench will force them to put up or sod off.....i would of picked beckham but playing in usa will ruin him

Ego .. each thinks he's "the man" .. neither has really learned to be a "team player" which means making personal sacrifices for the greater good of the whole ..
I used to watch Liverpool every Saturday, travelling away when they did .. but not these days ..

Its because they're all very over rated and believe the hype. You've only won the World cup once...Uruguay have done it twice. Get over this ridiculous belief that England have a divine right to a trophy. They don't.
