I am a Native woman.
I have light skin but many of my friends are dark skinned. I have done their makeup and watched them use their makeup.

If you use foundation you want your own skin color. Probably two shades. One for winter and one for spring/summer when you tan. Open the bottle (make sure store clerk doesn't see, lol) and put some of the makeup on the inside of your wrist, if it matches then your good. Some people have to blend two colors to get a good match.
Concelear for pimples, under eye bags etc.. should be a skin tone lighter than your complexion.
For eyeshadow you should use brown or dark/olive green. Also white or tan/beige if you use it well. That's about it unless you want to look well... special...:) Sometimes it is beneficial to use two colors. It depends on your facial features where you will want to use the colors. You can go to makeup sites to figure this out. Also it is beneficial sometimes to put a light brush of your eyeshadow right under your eye as well and not to end it at your outer eye but a real light brush out towards your temple as well.
For eyeliner black or brown or white. You can use white eyeliner right under your brow (blended in), this is a great facial enhancer. You can put eyeliner on both parts of eye, just upper, or just lower depending on your facial features. White can go on lower (blended in) or on inner eye where it meets your nose (blended in), white highlights the area, accents it.
For blush (if you use) you'll want to play around. Try a brown or a light pink.
For mascara, definately black.
For lipgloss or lipstick you'll want browns. Don't do reds at all.
Sheer is good too or tans. Your lipliner should match the color of your lips.

If you can afford it use make up such as neutrogena, physicians formula. This is for everyone who wears makeup. It is just better for you.

Hope this helps!

deffinately brown/natural eye shadow. <--deffinately!!

i would then say not alot of base make up eg foundation, press powder, blusher. infact i would go as far as saying no foundation!!

probably alot of mascara to relli emphasise your amazing eyes!! try bring out the colour in your face!!

btw max factor is great for quality make up. you can really trust that company!
