Gordon is big strong and patient at the plate. He will provide some much needed energy in KC since the likes of Carlos Beltran. Roylas fans now have a good reason to come out to the games.
The Royals can't succeed on just his bat alone hopefully Gordon will be a beginning piece of the puzzle that they are currently putting together.

It will take a few years to harness the young talent of the Royals (maybe 3-5 years?), but the time will come when Teahen, Gordon, Butler, Brown, Greinke and others will bring this team to the top of the AL Central. The Royals also need to pay some money and get more veterans in here to teach these rookies. They do have Sweeney and Sanders, but both of them are wearing down. The GM needs to start spending some money on more than one player (Gil Meche) and get some good consistent batters into the lineup

He's going to make it interesting, that's for sure. Gordon can do things that only a few players in the game can. Quick, name all of the 5 tool 3B you can remember.
The Royals have a lot of young talent, but then they should they have been drafting first or second for years.
Alex Gordon
Mark Teahen
Zack Greinke
Luke Hochevar
Billy Butler
Chris Lubanski
All 25 or younger and all with the talent to be very good or great ML players.

He's going to be an amazing hitter. I'd put him up there with Delmon Young for Rookie of the Year. Gordon had a great year in the minors last year and is tearing it up in spring training. I can see him having a good first half, but a great second half. It would not surprise me if he hit .280-.300 this year with 25 homers in his first year, then getting better next season.
He will be the new Royals' hero, but he's not enough to make them contenders, they'll need some of their younger pitchers to develop, they have a couple of studs on the way though. Gordon and Billy Butler will be a one-two punch in the future.

If they can keep the nucleus of this young team together as well as find a few pitching prospects down the line the Royals will be back in the hunt of things within the next 2 to 3 years. But they have to find some pitching gems to help these nice young bats they have.

From all that I have read and picked up from listening to those in the know,This Man could very well be the Future pf the franchise. If Alex turns out to be the player that everyone expects then the Phils can sureley build around him to once again return to GREATNESS.......

He is going to tear up the league, that's for sure.
However, he alone will not be able to take KC to the play-offs;
at least not this year. But mark my words, in a few years KC will be contenders and the whiney sux will be the bottom feeders!!!

No, they are still years away from contending. 500 would be a big success
Alex looks like a good prospect though, not enough to carry them to the promised land.
