The Associated Press (the largest news wire service in the World) is the source for most of the mainstream media and you found the story on Yahoo a mainstream Internet news source. How do you conclude that this isn't news or is being hidden?

First of all, I don't believe homosexuals should be allowed to adopt children. With that said, You can't expect the media on the far left to actually report this. Especially without a bias if they can get away with it and they will try even when they can't get away with it. I hope the mother wins in court. If it sets back homosexual rights to adopt, good and then so be it. But if so, watch the ACLU become involved very quickly, as they always do when something can undermine the moral base of America.

This is at least the third instance I've read about of a woman who's seeking custody post-breakup claiming to be an "ex-lesbian" and thus securing free legal representation from a right-wing christian organization.
Someone above made a claim about a high rate of abuse claims relating to gay-parent households. I would love to see your source for that statistic, and particularly if you're going to argue that the abuse allegations are substantiated in any way.
Finally, as someone pointed out above, if this is making it into the Y! News pages, it's hardly relegated to the alternative press.

It's obviously not hidden if it was reported by Associated Press, which is carried by every major news outlet in the country.
And it's nothing more than someone who doesn't like the way she lived trying to hurt others because she hates herself.

I think it is just a matter of time before a major newspaper picks up on the story. It is an interesting topic and I'm sure that a lot of people will want to talk about it. Thanks for sharing it!

gay adoption constitutes less than 2% of adoptions yet accounts for over 30% of child abuse claims. Numbers can't hate
