I'm a non-conformist and thought I was okay coz I finished college with a few awards and was really successful in my endeavor (dance). I'm a powerful force that was utilized very well in my dance crew, but I couldn't utilize my own potential to maximum coz I was a scatter brain, very disorganized, bad attitude, I had no time for change, I'm hard headed. Now that I'm working, I realized all of this things I lack. My mom suggest that I don't quit, but I think it's better for me to quit and focus on myself, prepare my mind, my attitude, my habits. Everything I lacked. I really believe that I need time and focus. Coz my job is very demanding and it's hard to reinforce habits while concentrating on my multi-tasking work (marketing-creatives).
What do you think should I do? please elaborate why.

if you are un happy then quit,i just went through the exact same thing,i quit my 70,000 dollar a yr job, because it was depleting my soul and have chosen to follow my heart and my passion, music.i know and believe in my heart that ive done the right thing, personal growth and positive change is much better for you then money,it is more fullfilling and satisfying,if you are truly happy and have joy in your heart then you will exude that outwardly and that is what will come back to you,if you really believe you need time to focus and work on yourself, then you do and you must do that, its that simple...listen to yourself no one else. "be a positive role model...be the change you want to see in the world. ghandi"

An artistic temperament is useful when you are striving to reach maximum creative force, but in the real working world you are going to be disappointed evey which way you turn. Unless you could work in a hyper creative field like TV or Theater, you are never going to be happy in the working world. You need to set priorities and decide what you truly want. To reach the top of your creative game could take decades. And most still don't make it to the top after spending all those years trying. If you quit your job, you should look into moving to NYC or Hollywood. That's where the creative energy is in this country.

It seems like you're in a state of frustration and disillusionment so you are longing for a season away from the responsibilities of life, away from reality and into the arms of peace with its gentle calmness. My dear, that is Fantasy-land and it doesn't really exist, and I don't believe that's what you really need right now because it will not help you to find and appreciate the person you really can be. It takes a great deal of effort and determination to become a successful and fulfilled person. Your hope for escape would get you nowhere and you would sink even deeper into that feeling of nothingness that you're experiencing right now, so if you really quit your job please try to find something more pleasing to you. I think you'll be glad you did. It's much easier to find yourself while you doing something worthwhile, and it will happen when you least expect it. Be brave and face this world with eyes open wide because you "are" going to make it, and one day you will become a very content individual.

I wish you the very best!!!

You picked the wrong job.
We all do that.
The important thing is to keep working, trying different jobs as you go along.
It took me a long while, and a lot of different jobs, where I found the perfect job. Now I love work.
Been there for 21 years.
If you do not keep changing jobs, you will not find the perfect job.

Best way is go to all the temp agencies in town. Get temp jobs everywhere to see how they work, then find one you really like. Many temp jobs now hire temp first, offer you full time later.

My wife got her perfect job this way.

Good luck!!

What do you value more...yourself or the people benefitting from your work? Do YOU ultimately benefit from your work. Can you effectively do both? Honestly answer these questions and you should be able to answer your own question.
