yeah,i'm pretty unexperienced.
but i do know where the thinnest part of the cartilage is,and how to put in the earring correctly ( i had to help my sister put in & take out her helix).

You need a sterile hollow needle at the right gauge. I do NOT recommend doing it yourself. Encourage her to go to a professional piercer.

i would not get it executed, by way of fact you're in touch in multiple activities that ought to limit donning jewelry. Athletic activities and piercings do no longer combination. The piercing can wait. they are unlikely everywhere. Being in touch in activities builds character and provides an side while employing for faculty. Cartilage piercings take six months to a three hundred and sixty 5 days to heal completely. Having to do away with the jewellery and placed it decrease back in usually ought to reason trauma to the piercing.

You know I think you should probably wait another time to do it and just let a professional do it because it looks to me like your not experienced. You do burn a needle then but alchol on it and but something cold on her cartliage when you (may) pierce it to numb it. It may hurt and swell a little so just be very aware of what may happen. =)

Tell her that, for her safety's sake, you are uncomfortable doing it and recommend a professional. I'm "assuming" you're speaking of ear cartilage.
