It is true that they have that reputation ... it is not true that it is always deserved ... it's a stereotype, and not a very accurate one. I met an American online yesterday who speaks 10 languages fluently ... and a nicer guy you couldn't hope to meet.

Ueh, paesa'! W L'Italia! W Napoli!!

Yes, it's absolutely true that we have this reputation. Unfortunately, if something happens outside of the States, many Americans don't care about what's going on. Not all, but many.

It's not true of everyone though, there are many Americans who keep abreast of foreign affairs.

Here are some HILARIOUS video showing some really REALLY stupid people!

Everyone is stupid to a certain point. Individuals are easier to deal with. But watch a crowd with their "mob logic". We have a huge population. The more minds in one place at one time, the stupider people become.

It all depends who is talking about them and maked their reputation. Generally stupid and impulsive people think of others as stupid. They think it makes them more intelligent.
There is stupid and intelligent people everywhere.

They also are the fasted guns in the world. They believe in:
"shoot first, ask questions later!".

Unfortunately yes.I am sure this is not because they are stupid but because in many cases they put their mouths before their brains. Don't be quite so quick to come back with a reply to something that may not have pleased you. Think before you shout. There are bright and not so bright people in every country.By thinking out our responses sensibly I am sure a lot of this misconception can be avoided.

.Sorry to say but you do have that reputation as Americans tend to show little interest in anything outside their own country.
In San Francisco when telling I was from Scotland I have been asked if Scotland was South of San Francisco, If I knew a guy in Dublin & if it was a Scandanavian country
Nuff said?
