I'm asking this question because when you put a PS3 on it's side on the front on the right you should have the slot where you put a disk in, but on the left side in the middle there's a piece of plastic that you can pull of and behind it you would find the PS3's hardrive and you can take it out and replace it with another PS3 hardrive.

Yes, the hard drive is a 2.5' Serial ATA disk, just shop around for one at any electronics site or store and it does not have to come from Sony
