I've never said that....i know there are more cons in there than libs...of course that could have something to do with we liberals not liking war and not liking people dying...or perhaps education level or something but i don't know for sure.
when i say something similar to that, mean that the children of the representatives who approve the war and vote to declare it or invade somewhere, should be the first people on the ground....maybe they would act more carefully if it was their own children being killed and not some stranger's.

A better question would be are there any libs in the military? I would say less than 8%.

believe it or not, the average american isn't set in stone in a position... most americans follow politics (national security, economy, etc) and play it by ear as to where to lean. post 9/11, more people had conservative national security views than ever before. So those enlisted come from all across the spectrum ... from the far right to far left, but most are somewhere in the middle.

It doesn't mean the lower portion of the conservative wing smart a$$!!! I think that you would find a division in politics equal to what it is in the Nation. The Cons that are in the upper income of our Nation do not pick up arms and fight for this Nation. You know that and yet you try to sway others to go along with your nonsense!!

Most enlisted are not political at all.
The rightist media likes to portray the military as a bunch of republicans but the reality is that most of the officer corps is white and male and tend to be uptight and anal. These are the ones you see on T.V. and hear from the most.
Get a group of minority and average grunts of all strata together away from the officer corps and you will hear the truth.

Once we win they will of course say that all those who fought were liberal democrats but the party identification has changed so they only appeared to be republican conservatives. And all of the protesters were in truth conservatives.

No... Liberals have found other ways to serve our great country other than joining the military. Many serve behind the counters of Starbucks and McDonalds protecting our double lattes and Big Macs from the terrorists.

There is an even mixture, but a great majority of younger soldiers (18-22) don't care about politics and many don't vote.

Are YOU over there fighting? The fact that there are other people (who may be conservatives) who have the balls to fight YOUR war does not mean that YOU have balls.
