"Were you asking"Do you know that many students in Jamaica do not do CXC? Yes i know.
Or, were you trying to ask if,how many do not do CXC,well not sure, but info coming out of passes have suggested that a large percentage of those who sit do poorly in Math and English, there was a radio program host who said quoting from an article that as much as 30% leave high school still off in terms of literacy.
Or were you asking why do students choose not to do CXCs? Well back in high school, i met this girl who was more interested in going a broad than doing it,"CXC",or some person family can't afford it,or some persons choose sexual intercourse over their school work,or peer pressure sets in,and school boys choose gangs and a way to make quick money instead.
Or some person due to the environment which they were grown lack the necessary skills to perform at that level so they opt not to do it,"CXC".
The factors though are varied and wide,so there you have it.

WOW! For Real?
Mr J. Joegrine has answered for the rest of us, pretty much. To david duncan- cxc is an important examination that is required of all high school students. It's similar to the SATs, you can't really advance without it.
Boy_ jam_arch, why do you think this person is from Westmoreland? He could be from Mo-bay, you know. :)

Let me revise that......"Did you know that some children in Jamaica do not sit the CXCs". Better!! Boy, I am really hoping that you are not one of those children, although your grammar suggests otherwise.
