because i want to get one for my birthday in june a silver 4G nano. but i dont wanna get it and then have them come out with a new one the next month or something.

The answer above is incorrect, they do sell silver 4 GBs. I worked at Compusmart, and we specialized in apple products.

My birthday is in June as well and I would like to purchase an Ipod (Black 30gb) with my birthday money. Here is what I am going to do, I am going to get the store warrenty, and in a few years when a new one comes out, go in and exchange the one I have for a new version (Free!). There are warrenties like this, you just need to research, compusmart does it, you just need to talk to the sales person about it.
Apple products are updated constantly, which is annoying but, Apple has started making all of the products "backwards compatible" (Sorta). Anything they release in the near future will be compatible with your Nano so you will be ok with it for a while( few years).

seriously though, it is inevitable - no matter how long u wait to get the latest and greatest ipod, a few months later a new one comes out that is smaller, lighter and more powerful. sometimes u just need to go for it and get one and start enjoying it!

they don't have silver 4gb's. 2gb=Silver 4gb=red pink green blue 8gb= black
