It's easy. Just open up your case and see how the original drive is plugged in. The new one goes in the exact same way.

hey its simple
take the old cd drive out or leave it in and open up a space on the computer case by poping out a plastic cover
put the drive in it and screw it down or if it clamps clampit until it clicks
the take the wire and plug it to the matching slot on the motherboard
people say make sure your grounded by taking all the static out of yourself but thats only if your a wimp and dont know nothin about computers and you my friend know about computers i can tell
but the matching slot on the motherboard should be similar to the cd drive one but its simple you dont need a manual just read the code on the wires of the drive and find the matching codes on your motherboard but... whatever you do dont scratch the motherboard and please unplug the computer

where can you find manual for installation of your burner...well...here.. ;)...step by step...lets start..:

1. take of the side panel of your PC by unscrewing the (usualy) 2 screws (1 at the top and 1 at the bottom-depends on the case) at the back of your PC...and slide it toward the back...should open...
2. you should see a bunch of cables...if you already have a cd-rom installed...you should look for 1 or 2 FLAT cables going from the cd-rom/Hdd to the mainboard ...now if your PC has just 1 flat cable that conects both (old) CD-ROM and HDD to the mainboard then you should find (buy) another one (if you didnt get one with your (new) CD-RW (high possibility you didnt)....also you should look on your mainboard for an free IDE connector (like the one already connects the existing flat cable)...so when you get another flat cable...just plug in the connector on the "longer" side to the mainboard...open up an front panel 5`25`` place on your case and slide in your new burner...screw it up (you should get the screws)...connect the flat cable midle connector (or end if it`s short) to the burner....and finaly the power (molex) connector...dont close your pc yet...try it out..if everything`s ok..close...and your done...

3. now if your pc hase both flat cables connected to the mainboard (separatly cd-rom and hdd) ...the procedure is almost the same...just...watch for a litlle jumper on the back of your burner...if it connects 2 most-right pins (looking from behind the burner) just take it out carefuly...and put it to connect the midle pins (up-down midle)...slide in...screw it on the case...connect any of the free connectors of the flat cable ...ppower connector...at the end...try...close...

p.s.

try not to connect 2 cd-roms on a same flat cable...also try not to use the power connector that hdd uses.....also you could encounter 3 flat cables the one i1m refering are wider...the smaler one is for the fdd...in both cases not to be used or managed..

regards
