you'll start around $10 in a retail setting, more in hospital. I don't know where you're located but there are things like call centers for mail order pharmacies that use pharm techs, that's the most i'd seen a tech make....about 40k. the one i'm thinking of is located in philadelphia, memphis, and tempe, AZ. If you are serious about pharmacy start as a tech and get into a pharm school... then you'll make six figures.

The highest I have ever heard of a pharm tech making is about $16 per hour, but that was with a tech with lots of experience.
The new technology makes the need for techs less and less. Pharm techs are extremely vulnerable to it.

It is hard work for what you do and I didn't think the pay was all that great. You don't work standard hours and you have to work holidays most places. But that is just my view.
