you know, this isn't such a stupid question like some are making it out to be. Germany for example has two days of Christmas, the 25th and the 26th, but things like gift-giving are usually done on the 24th. Just because the official day for Christmas in a country is the 25th doesn't mean that that's also when it's celebrated.

Maybe in July, aren't the seasons the reverse of what they are in North America?
Then do they celebrate the 4th of July in December? And Thanksgiving in June?
