I am a writer. I want to put out a graphic novel. I would like to work with an artist. I don't know the basic for what a graphic novelist with or without an artist will need to do. I want to know where I can find an artist willing to work with me and what kind of contract will we have to have between us to work together. How much recognition does the writer get and how much for the artist? etc.

A good way to have these questions answered for you would be to visit your local library and check out books on writing graphic novels. I would think that most libraries have books like that because graphic novels are very popular. you could also visit some local comic book shops and talk to the store owners about what they know on it and if they know how other local artists/authors of graphic novels got their start. I love graphic novels! Good luck!
