This the the 21st century where age is a can be a comon ground we walk upon. I absolutely believe that the world has turned age into just a number not a dynamic that will give you the outcome of a successful relationship. I am 32 and I have been married twice. First wife was 1yr younger then me. The 2nd is 5 yrs younger. I do not feel that age is a requirement, (unless its just not legal and your not considered a adult yet) but if you truly love and respect your mate for his decisions and his admiration for you being who you are as a person then age virtually has no bearing on a successful relationship.

If I divorce and was to find happiness would I seek for someone my same age or older since I have married two times and they both being younger? No I would still date a girl even if she was 10 yrs younger. The maturity level in people are different. I know people in their 40's who act as if they were still in their early twenties. Its all about how you feel and what you gain from the relationship.

I hope this helps.

Depends on you and your fiancee. There are more things here to be concerned about than your age. As long as both parties are over 18. I don't see a problem in any age difference. Other things that you need to think about that are more important: Who is going to do what? Is the woman going to stay home and be a stay at home mother? How many kids do you want to have? If you want five and your fiancee wants none, there is a problem. Religion, sex finances are other things that are a big priority in most relationships. If one person is a Jew and the other one is Catholic. Where are you going to have your wedding? How are the kids going to be raised? Jewish or Catholic? Don't focus on the little things.

If you are honestly worried about a 1 year age difference hurting your relationship; then I think that you are probably too young to get married and/or that your relationship has hidden troubles that you want to blame on age.

My husband is younger than I am; (which I prefer seeing how women live longer than men) but even if he weren't we are just comfortable with each other so age doesn't matter. Age is just a number, as long as that age is legally above the age of consent.

1 year older shouldn't matter at all. I don't think age matters unless you're considered a minor and he's considered an adult in which case it may be illegal. But 1 year doesn't matter. My husband is 1 year older than me and we've been together for 7 years now. I really don't think age makes a person anyway. I think experience does and all the things we've been exposed to in our lives. That's what makes us grow into mature adults.

Of course not! If you love someone, what does age matter? Remember, time is only something MAN came up just to reference events in history.

I mean what if you both grew up say, as orphans, who were not sure when you were both born? Then this question would probably not even be able to be an issue, right?

Just work hard to care for and respect each other and you will have a most beautiful life.......good luck

I Year is a big difference. I do, however, wonder about relationship with more than a 10 age difference between the people. I mean, they are most likely in different spots in their lives and hardly have anything in common.

In my opinion age does not matter. I am married to a man who is 5 years older than me, and our relationship is great....

I think up to a five year gap is okay but anything more than that can cause problems because you start moving into a different gernetions, views, family life and so on which leads to difference of opinions

He should be ten years older!!! Maturity in men is the key to a happy marriage. Men tend to lag behind woman in that area so it makes perfect sense to seek older men.

OH my gosh... are you joking? 1 year? How is that an age difference?

Please... if you're worried about your relationship being in trouble, it'd be for other reasons!
