Dont worry, the fleet is already assembling off the coast of Iran.
How dare those Iranians defend their own territory from innocent Marines trolling up and down their coastline rightfully trashing the fishing trade and boarding vessels.
If Iranians gunboats were trolling off the British coast, the brits would send them roses.

Soon. John Bolton talked about the "constitutional doctrine" of hot pursuit today on Wolf Blitzer's CNN show and he tends to float trial balloons. The US could help the Brits, and get the bad guys who are causing all the trouble in Iraq at the same time!
"BLITZER: Do you believe Iran is directly or even indirectly involved in the killing of Americans in Iraq?
BOLTON: I have absolutely no doubt about it. This is a target of opportunity for the Iranians. It is consistent with their support for terrorism, their funding of Hezbollah and Hamas, and their generally more active attitude around the region.
I think they like having us as a target in Iraq. And I think they have clearly taken advantage of it.
BLITZER: So what should the U.S. be doing about this?
BOLTON: Well, I think the president has got a very aggressive strategy in response. And I think the Iranians need to know that we will pursue their agents, their military, their intelligence people inside Iraq and that the president has full constitutional authority, whether it is through the doctrine of hot pursuit or whatever else he needs to do, to protect Americans from Iranian attacks."

We don't want help. We have no intention of going to war against Iran. We don't want to lose any more troops than we already have, and we don't want to sentence another country to civil war. Iran pulled the same stunt in 2004. We got our soldiers back in 3 days. We don't want anyone to die over this, and we certainly don't want a bunch of jumped up Yanks causing trouble.
The Israelis do things differently. They are constantly fighting for survival. Here in Britain, we're not. We can afford to be patient and peaceful.

Your anti semitism is obvious...maybe the UK has not asked for our assistance yet did you ever think of that? If these were Israelis the Mousad and their Spec Ops types would have them back by now with many dead Iranians littering the streets of Tehran.

If it was up to me, we wouldn't interfere in ANY situation between two other countries unless one of those countries directly asked for our help....and then, only after serious discussions about it.
