hi fabio! if u r having trouble with itunes, then u probably do want to uninstall quicktime (and reboot) before reinstalling itunes. but if u r not having trouble with itunes, then u may not need to uninstall quicktime.
one important thing to note - if u have upgraded to quicktime pro (which is like $30) be careful when u upgrade itunes because itunes upgrades quicktime to version 7. if ur version of quicktime pro is for version 6 (or earlier), then u will lose ur quicktime pro and will have to upgrade to pro again (another $30) for quicktime 7. ur license key for earlier versions of quicktime pro do not work in quicktime 7 :(
once u get ur itunes upgraded, please subscribe to my FREE video podcast on iTunes: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=183309259

There really isn't a need to. When you install iTunes, the Quicktime installer will automatically update your old Quicktime.
If you are aware of disk space usage, then you probably should uninstall everything that came with iTunes.

Yes, since the iTunes installer will automatically install the latest version of Quicktime anyway.
Hope that helps,

Yes you will have to uninstall it, but you wont have to install it seperately because when you download iTunes you will see that under system requirments it says Quicktime (included). meaning when you download iTunes it will download the newest version of quicktime also.
