Here is the best tip I can give you. Dont wear any at all, you are way too young for it.

It is probably best to get her something that is not sparkly or shiny, in nature. A make up that is all matt, or opaque is the best. If she needs a little cover up, I like Sue Devitt Brand from Sephora.com
Most major city's have a Sephora, and the place is amazing. You can go in there and try everything on, many different brands.
I think a little sparkle over her eyes, as in an eyeshadow, is the only place that it would be okay, and not over done.

You may want to get her a blush that matches her skin tone. You told me how you look, but what type of skin/hair does your daughter have. Are you also asking advice for yourself?

There are some great make up counters that don't require you to buy anything and they will work with you on subtle application, one is Mac, don't go to Bobbie Brown. It is best to get a light weight non oily make up too.
Clinique has thee best mascara, the product is all the same, which is fantastic, but if you get the dark green one(i love) you get fuller lashes, if you get any of the other brushes, it will be toned down. I think the fuller look in the lashes would be okay for your daughter, as long as she doesn't use eye liner, or at least too much eye liner. A colored lip gloss would be great for her too. And if she wants pouty lips get Dr. Perricones, Lip Plump. It really does work well. Good Luck.

You don't need to wear make-up. At that age a lot of girls think that is some right of passage, but I'm 24 and on a typical day I just wear some lip gloss. Lip gloss can make a difference and you still look natural. Drink your water and use a good facial cleanser as well and you'll have beautiful skin that you don't want to cover up. If you are worried about a blemish or two, just dab a tiny bit of concealer that matches your tone over the blemish and rub it in. Make the best of what you were blessed with and take care of it, don't cover it up.. =-)

Oh man, you are sooooo lucky you have dark lashes!! Since you do, you probably don't have to wear mascara (lucky). WHen I was twelve I know I wore too much make up, so don't make the same mistake I did. Wear some light eyeshadows (like pastels, or brown shades) maybe with a little sparke. Some light pressed powder, a teeny tint of blush, and you'll look great! Also, every time you apply makeup, tweeze stray eyebrows, but brish them first. This helps prevent over plucking which looks gross.

Apply 2 coats of black mascara, and use only a light colored eyeshadow( if needed): Use colors like- Gold, Light Blue, Purple, Light Grey, or Pink. Stick to those colors and you should look natural. And put on a very, very thin line of brown liquid eye-liner.For your blush, use a light pink or red- toned cream( it blends MUCH better than powders). For lips, Trust Me...Just stick to Lip-gloss!!! Anything else will make u look overdone!
Hope all this helps!!!!! ;D

Lol, seems like my characteristics. What i do, is first i put REALLY thin eyeliner on my top lashes, so thin that it is barely noticible. (some brands have a sharpener at the end, that is what i buy so it goes on thinner) then, i have "french vanilla" eyeshadow that i put on. Depending on how dark your lashes are, you may not even need mascara but a little never hurts. maybe a lil coverup depending on ur face type and voila!!! lol, im 14 so i was exactly in ur position a couple years back! I hope this helps! ~bugs

All you need is lip gloss and sparkles. You first should apply a small line of black eye liner on the top of you lid by your lash line. Next put on a white or blue sparkly shadow. Cover you eyes with a few little sparkles and a small amount on you cheak bones this will help. Trust me!

Do you have a Mom or older sister/friend to get "close up" advice from? If so that would be your best course of action.

If not, just don't overdo it, it will cause other people to form the wrong impression of you. Maybe a little mascara and some lip gloss to enhance your natural look.

Best of luck :)

use a neutral color shimmery shadow- sweep it all over your lid something like Benefit showoffs in bambi would be pretty. curl your lashes and apply dark brown mascara- l'oreal volume shocking works well. unless your skin is very problematic just apply moisturizer- no foundation. at 12 there isnt really a reason to wear foundation. if you have something you want to cover just use a light concealer. use a rose colored blush- use a fluffy brush and sweep from your cheek bones down to about two fingers away from your nose- make sure you blend so you dont look like a doll. finish with a clear super shiny gloss.

ok. dont put too much mascara on. close your eyes and put mascara on the top of your lashes, then open your eyes and put it underneathe. this gives fullness wihtout it looking too much. try not to put large amounts of bright coloured eye shadow. by the sounds of it your skin is the colour B, so try using light eye shadows, eg. cream or a nice natural pale brown. as far as your base coat, dont bother with foundation, too mature for a young face, just put a little press powder on, and i mean a little. and lips, nice bit of lip gloss. :)

however you need to remember the order which you put your make up on in...

1) eye shadow
2) press powder
3) mascara
4) lip gloss

5) perfume
6) a beautiful smile!!

enjoy!!
