How and Why Edmund Burke justifies monarchy?

It's been years since I studied him but I recall Burke being very wary of the idea of the common people trying to govern themselves. Thus the idea of a republic, (like the Western World now enjoys in many countries), would have been too drastic for him to favor. He was a classic conservative.

As it seemed to me as well, he apparently liked the idea of a constitutional monarchy, albeit one with rules and restrictions. For as much as he distained plain republican government, he abhorred a corrupt kingdom even more.
