The screen capture I'm looking for is the PC not apple.

Even better than alt-pscr is screenhunter. It's free, saves to jpg format and it's very unobtrisive. Two thumbs up! The free version is just fine for me.

Just Print Screen its self will show everything on the screen, including the start bar.

Alt + Print Screen only shows the active window, therefore not start bar.

Either way it puts the screen in the clip board, so just needs pasteing. The print screen button is above the insert key (generally)

look at your keyboard. There must be a key labeled "print screen". Just press it. A snapshot of your screen will be put in the clipboard, just paste it anywhere. If you want to capture only the active window use alt+print screen

Your keyboard should have a "Print Scrn" or "PrtSc" button on it between the F12 and number lock keys. Press this buttom when you want to capture a image of your screen them paste it into Paint or other image editing program and save it.

when you have the screen that you want a shot of on your monitor, press the "print screen" button, it should be at the top right of you keyboard along with scroll lock and pause. then open something like Microsoft Word or Works and then press ctrl+p to paste the image on the page

Alt-Printscreen, then the easiest thing is to open Paint and Ctrl-V to paste. Then save as what ever image file format you want .JPG, .BMP, etc. Once you have the image you can insert it into whatever program you may want.

easy. hit the "print screen" button near the top of the keyboard. then go into ms word or paint, and select "paste"

to be able to do that sweetie u just have to press the "print screen/ Sysrq" on your keyboard then paste it on ms word then print it...

ALT+PrtScrn It goes to the Clipboard and you can then paste into whatever application you want.
