Why because most sports fans get there info from ESPN. ESPN only talk good about theams that are from NY LA and Chicago. Man I feel your pain and I'm from Houston. But the question is does the Jazz wants to face the rockets in the first round? Does Okur wants to face Yao Ming?

Two reasons:

1) They're a small market team
2) They've never won anything.

That's a deadly combination if you expect to get a lot of publicity.

"Respect" is overrated anyway... what does that mean, "get respect?"

Just win some da** games and win a title... that should be their goal, not "getting respect". This whole idea of "respect" has gotten ridiculous.

When the Jazz made the finals in back to back years and played the Bulls, they got plenty of "respect"... but what good did that do them? I'm sure Stockton and Malone would gladly have traded all that "respect" for a ring or two.

Quit worrying about "respect". It means nothing.

The Jazz are having an excellent year, one that is deserving of much respect. Unofrtunately for them, they are being overshadowed by other Western Conference powers such as Dallas, San Antonio and Phoenix.

I believe that the jazz dont recieve the proper respect becuz they are in a division where their competion is not intense and theirs some many other teams that are better. they have allstar and a chizzle vets but their not that dominant like the malone and stockton era.

They will sweep the pathetic Rockets in the first round.

Could give Dallas an interesting series. I like their system. I'll call them a dark horse because they could potentially upset teams like Dallas, Phx, SA.

it is because no one know that the jazz are a great team they have all ways been and what raelly ticks me off is that jarry sloan has not yet got coach of the year. he is in my eyes one of the best coaches ever and to stay with one team for so long he has to get it this year

they arent a big market team like the lakers and cavs. they dont really have any superstars like tmac and kobe. they dont have an exciting offense like phoenix, they play the half court grind it out game. and espn and abc try to appeal to what fans like to see.

this is simple, that Jazz are a small market team, people watch big market teams... people only see whats on TV, and there not on TV very often
