For the girl above a little, there's no "soundtrack" to Wicked. It's called a recording. The Original Broadway Cast Recording. And yes, there's a huge difference.
I like the film scores to Romeo + Juliet and Chicago

FilmFour put out a 2CD compilation a few years ago called Essential Soundtracks, I don't know if it's still available, but it was pretty cool.
Other than that, it depends what music you're into, but I love American Beauty, The Virgin Suicides, The Commitments...

How bout Tito and the Tarantulas? They played on most of the soundtrack "From Dusk To Dawn". that's my fav, anyway. That and the soundtrack from Escape To New York
