They are conserving their right to make their rich buddies richer, corporate America with the right to obscene profits, the right to send our troops where ever and when ever they want, conservation in government is instead of increasing funds for education or health reforms for the uninsured they would rather have a bridge built to no where in Alaska. Conservation is calling for computer literacy or no child left behind and then failing to aid school districts causing more taxes at the local level. That is just scratching the service of the Conservative Right.

Global warming? You mean of course climate change, is a natural occurrence and is also taking place on every other planet in the solar system. Now I am just a conservative but I don't think that we have pumped any CO2 in to those planets atmosphere or lack of as the case may be.

Conservatives are anti-change, that's what conservativism is about. Liberalism is about instituting change. Look up the words, that's what they mean. If Preserving the status quo includes tearing down a forest with some owls no one cares about in it, they'll do that. If includes avoiding legislation that could potentially devastate the American economy, they'll do it.
