That's not entirely true. After they realised that they were paying a mediocre foriegner reiculous amounts of cold hard cash to do what any person who had ever seen the game before could do, they decided that, under pressure, the next manager had to be an Englishman. Therein lies the problem. Not a shortage of Englihmen with the ability to handle such a role, Alardyce of Bolton, Curbishly or even an inexperienced but passionate Stuart Pearce, but the difficulty of finding one who would toe the FA line and be a "Yes" man. Enter one Steve McClaren. Possibly one of the best Number 2's in the game but also one of the worst number 1's. Hmmm, thought the FA. We've made a slight mistake here. He got rid of Beckham like we wanted so that he was the scapegoat for our world cup failure, not our grossly overpaid swede, but quite frankly he hasn't got a clue. I know, piped up the boy on work experience, my grandad always tells me what a great manager Venables was back in his day. Problem solved. We'll bring in Venables as his Number 2.

Apparently, hat they didn't count on was the fact that Venables would obviously not be able to change McClarens mind on thinking that Stuart Downing is the greatest left winger in the world, rather than the barely adequate pub-teamer that he is in reality. Couldn't convince him to drop Lampard, who consistently fails to reproduce his club form at international level. Couldn't convince him to open his eyes to a possible recall of Beckham (even Lippi did a u-turn on that one!) and worst of all COULD NOT install one ounce of charisma in a man charged with motivating our national side. The FA will continue to back their man, though, at least until we fail to qualify!

Yes the players are payed an enormous amount of money but so are the top players from every other League and National squad that are super powers of football, so that is not the real problem as such as these other teams still achieve the required results. Englands International game needs to change or be modified. The long ball game is fine in England, they all play it but Internationally it's only a part of the game not the game as a whole. McClaren doesn't have the common sense nor does the FA to see this and no, organizations like the FA never admit they are wrong. There are reasons why certain EPL teams have European success and it's because their managers realize these basic facts and adjust their games accordingly. Chase on e of them down. I think McClaren has had enough time to drag England further into the black hole.

Ah using polls to confirm regardless of if or not a president has been doing a stable job. right this is the venture, polls do not assist you recognize who's doing the undesirable job, they simply assist you recognize that the final inhabitants is gloomy with the job being performed. specific, this ballot is concentrated on Obama, yet I continuously locate it thrilling that, in case you have been to ask somebody with reference to the subject concerns, that they had concentration on issues that are working their way with the aid of Congress. jointly as Obama would nicely be blamed in part for those, i could say this is equivalently a dislike of Congress and its repeated tries to dam and mitigate legislations that have human beings getting indignant over the political gadget. the different factor polls tend to pass over is long term outcomes. human beings want to concentration on the right here and now, and for this reason, polls often replace dramatically over short sessions of time. there is not any reason to anticipate that this one would be any diverse. The well-being care bill hasn't been enacted yet. The stimulus funds remains being spent. economic reform hasn't surpassed. The oil spill remains in the beginning up stages of clean up. At a definite factor, maximum of those will replace, and whilst they do, so will the polls. So no, i don't admit that Obama's a disaster. i think of this is disingenuous to have faith that he's a disaster.

Isreal is not the worlds worse team you know. Missed qualifying for the world cup by a hair in the group with France and Switzerland.

Now...............Serbia, they should worry. They lost to Kazakstan !

I agree with Cliff G. The players are all overrated, and overpayed. They should want to play for their country for nothing, but could you see any of them doing that.
