that isn't any longer that I hate Steve Nash, yet i could like to work out Kobe get an MVP. the purely issue is that, even with his magic, the crew hasn't been lifted out of mediocrity. The MVP is going to a participant on a superior crew, accordingly why Steve Nash received it two times, Kevin Garnett received it at the same time as the Timberwolves were #a million interior the West, and Tim Duncan received it the 12 months the Spurs ruled and received the Championship. Kobe could have received it palms-down very last 3 hundred and sixty 5 days if his crew had complete interior the acceptable 4 interior the West. yet they complete an ok seventh, a superior rank, yet no longer solid sufficient to satisfy the media who vote. This 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, he could have received it if he and the crew had persevered playing the way they began. Dirk is a superior candidate, yet his numbers, scoring especially, are incredibly down from a three hundred and sixty 5 days in the past. There are really some issues going for him besides the indisputable fact that, extraordinarily seeing that he's the perfect participant on the perfect crew, his capturing percentage and assists are up from a three hundred and sixty 5 days in the past, and he's reached the expectancies that were envisioned for the crew after very last years holiday to the Finals. Steve Nash is having a occupation 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, and if it wasn't for the Mavs, they'd be the perfect crew interior the NBA. he's putting up extra valuable numbers in factors and assists extraordinarily, and he's also giving extra valuable attempt on the shielding end. His administration and attitude have helped rework the Suns right into a playoff chance. All in all, i imagine Dirk has a superior shot at triumphing the MVP, commonly because he's the recent guy on the block. in the different case, it may be Steve Nash.

So why should Bryant be considered over Nowitzki and Nash?

Sure, Nowitzki has led the Mavericks to an NBA-best 57-11 record. Sure, Nash is the engine behind the successful Suns' run-and-fun offense. But Nowitzki and Nash have something Bryant DOESN'T have. A quality supporting cast.

Nowitzki plays with NBA all-star Josh Howard and stellar guards Jason Terry and Devin Harris. Nash plays with underrated all-stars Amare Stoudemire and Shawn Marion.

Outside of Odom (who has missed 26 games to injury), who does Bryant truly have to help him win? Luke Walton? Kwame Brown? Smush Parker? You know you're in trouble with a dude named "Smush" starting at point guard. Bryant has the WORST supporting cast in the Western Conference. He needs to score big for the Lakers to win and his teammates have been supportive of his scoring. Without him, the Lakers would be the WORST team in the Western Conference.

EDIT: And to the guy who said that kobe has shot 46% from the field and has taken 40 shots per game... FYI... Not only has the Lakers' Kobe Bryant been putting up some astronomical scoring numbers, but he also has been doing it in an efficient manner. While averaging a mind-boggling 56.3 ppg. in his last four games, Bryant has been shooting a scintillating 54.3% from the field. BEFORE his four-game explosion, the Lakers superstar had been shooting 45.8% from the field for the season. Don't post if you don't know what you're babbling about.

#1 Nash
#2 Dirk
#3 Areans
and for the Kobe butt kissing fans! Just because you take 40+ shots a game to score 60 points and average a low 46% field goal percentage doesnt make you an MVP

Well, Dirk = choker.
Kobe = chucker.

So, by process of elimination, Steve Nash.
