It is made of energy converted from either an electron transition within an atom or by conversion of mass to energy.

If you look at it from a particle physicists view, then it is considered as a positron - electron pair, which have combined to cancel each other's mass and charge and have reformed into energy which then must be dissapated.

You can look at it from the view of wave physics, which is the combination of an electric field and a magnetic field (which are perpendicular to each other) and are also perpendicular to the direction of propagation (think of the left or right hand rules.)

Photons (of whatever energy) are the carriers of Electromagnetic radiation (or Electromagneitc energy.)

"Light" is really bright energy.
Light can produce sound, radioactive, heat, and light energies.
Energies are not made out of anything, as the Law of Energy states: energy is neither created nor destroyed.

Light is just something we humans can detect by eye, but whether a flashlight is on or off, light always has energy.
