Actually, I'm looking for a two book series. They're about a teenage (high school?) couple who fall in love, run off together. The girl has lupus and ends up getting ill while off with the love of her life. I read it when I was in junior high, sixth grade (about 13 years ago). I think the girl's family runs a diner (in the book). I really stink...can't think of character names or anything....

Hey guys thanks for the response...I actually just found the books I was looking for.

It's a two book series "Last Summer First Love" by Carin Greenburg Baker...The first book is entitled "A Time to Love" and the second "Goodbye to Love." I ended up doing a search via the NYC Library catalog and found it!! I knew for sure once I saw the cover of the books on Amazon!!
I highly recommend these books!!! Definitely good reads!!!

The only book I've found about a teen with lupus is 13 is too young to die by Isaacsen-Bright.

Are you sure it's lupus?

Deborah Kent wrote a three-book series about a girl with lupus. The first book is called "The Courage to Live" -- maybe that's what you are looking for?

If that's not it, I'm willing to bet Lurlene McDaniel wrote a book on lupus at some point in her career, and a LOT of her books deal with romance and terminally ill teenagers.

Hope that helps!
