No, but then remember... no law has ever prevented a crime. Think about it, has anyone NOT robbed a bank or gas station, or shot someone just because it was illegal? All a law can do is allow prosecution AFTER the act is committed. So I would say that already, everyone who wants to be a hooker is a hooker. Being against a law does not stop them.

I can't say that I would do it. But it is really a regular job. You get the oil changed in your car right? You take your car, they change the oil, you give them money. Money in exchange for a service. That's all prostitution is.

There are lots of scoially acceptable prostitutes, they're called wives and husbands -- at least those who marry for wealth and position, anyway. ;-)
There is a large degree of hypocrisy in the public attitude toward prostitues and sex-workers.

no, it's too risky- STDs, pregnancy, risk of other crimes being committed against you, etc.
I feel like these are the main reasons that it is not socially acceptable.
