if i give application+resume, how long should i usually wait for employers to call for interview? if they dont, it means they dont want to interview me, right? should i just assume that and not call back to check the status of my application?

It depends on the company and the number of applicants - most will call within a week, maybe 2 but that's stretching it a little.

Wait for about a week. If they don't call you back it could mean that they're not that interested, but if you call them they might see how bad you want this job and that you're even willing to take your own personal time to call them and ask about getting a job there.

There is no cut and dry answer to your question. It can be within 24-48 hours; it can be in a week.

It depends upon their schedule, the volume of responses they receive. A lot of things that may have nothing to do with your qualifications.

Good luck!

If they dont call back within 2 weeks call them for your application status. If they dont answer your question find somwhere else.
