i dont know 100% but mom use to wash the in the washer, gentle cycle and dry flat on a table. on some she would lay flat and stretch out a lil and put books on wax paper to hold it til it dries so it wouldnt shrink

Throw it in your washer on cold water, delicate & with some baby or sensitive "skin" washing powder that has been already dilutted in some warmer water.

Or just use liquid laundry soap.

Wash it through on the gentle or delicate cycle. Place an extra Final SPIN on it & do it until its almost dry.

Then place it over a few chairs or a drying rack until it dries--it should take only a day or so.

I have on my grandmother made, and it's machine washable and dryable but ONLY (my wife says) because it's made of acrylic. Polyester would be okay too. If it were cotton or, I could still do this but it'd shrink a bit. Don't EVER wash a knit (which is how afghans are made) WOOL thing! The water alone will shrink it, so have it dry-cleaned. One way to test for wool is to wet a corner and if it smells kind of like wet dog (!) then it's wool.

I'm not sure but you probably need to hand wash it or dry clean.

wash in cold water on gentle cycle in washing machine, use mild soap, like woolite, dry in low temp dryer
