I've heard that hypnotist shows are hilarious and people do bizarre stuff. Is this for real? Any volunteers or spectators willing to share (even anonymously)?

Hi there, I was on a cruise in 2005, and volunteered to be "hypnotized". It was pretty lame, I didn't really fall asleep or anything, but I did feel more relaxed. He made us do weird stuff, I just did it for fun, and people kept on coming up to me afterwords asking me if I really fell asleep and I just said no, but that I was more relaxed. I felt I owed it to them to tell them the truth. :-) And people recognized me who went to that show for the rest of the cruise which was kind of cool. LOL I can't remember all he made us do, I think he made us pretend we were on a sinking ship, and other stuff like that.

Well no... I have no personal experience with an actual show per se...

But I can tell you that I used to go to a church where every Sunday. People in the audience would get up out of their seats and the preacher would place his hand on their foreheads and they would writhe and fall on the floor and have to be caught...

Once there, they would wait for a few moments praying until they got up again claiming to have been healed of the same exact thing that they will get in line again next week to have healed all over again.

I suppose that means that either God only works for 15 minutes at a time... or people are generally responsible for their own state and conditions but are too ignorant to believe that they can do anything themselves?

A hypnotist is a person who takes perfect advantage of that knowledge.

It is all suggestive. Even your basic lemming would go along with something everyone else was doing and or believed... even if the proof was at the bottom of a 100 ft cliff.
